It is incredible to reflect on the evolution of my career at ALDI over the last four years. Back in 2016 I started as the Corporate RD and supported everything from product labeling to influencer programs to better-for-you recipes. Now, as a Corporate Responsibility Manager, I oversee commitments to responsible sourcing in the ALDI supply chain. I work closely with our suppliers, buyers and key industry partners on our commitments to source sustainable palm oil, cocoa, forestry and coffee. Additionally, I work on a few internal health and wellness related projects.
At Giant, I am one of 11 in-store nutritionists who works to improve the wellness of our communities by teaching customers how to fill their carts with nourishing food while also positively impacting the community’s perception of Giant as a healthy retailer and community partner.

My role has truly evolved over my years at ShopRite, growing from a traditional, in-store retail dietitian position into a more managerial one. I continue be a resource for customers and the community via classes, counseling, and store tours; only now I have been able to supervise undergraduate nutrition students and dietetic interns who can assist me in food demo, handout creation, and administrative tasks I used to cover myself.
My role is mainly focused on our employees. I have the amazing opportunity to help employees in our Pennsylvania stores live healthier, better lives through food. I do this by organizing store wellness teams that consist of employees who are passionate about health and wellness.
My role is to be the nutrition expert in our grocery store and make customers' lives easier, healthier and happier. I love having the whole grocery store as my classroom to teach customers hands-on about healthy eating. I also help in other departments when they need, which I enjoy as it mixes up my day-to-day tasks. For example, I help deliver flowers on Valentine’s Day and help in the kitchen with Veterans Day breakfast. I get to be a part of the store in every way possible, which is so fun!
As the Food Safety Manger at Coborn’s I am responsible for developing food safety policies and procedures for our retail locations which meet or exceed government regulations to ultimately ensure our guests are provided with safe, wholesome food products.
As a dietitian supervisor at ShopRite, my job is to work with our in-store dietitians located in the Northeast region, assist them with growing their programs, and encourage their growth and development as retail dietitians. I also have a hand in our culinary programs, assisting in curating recipes and classes that fall under the culinary umbrella.
Hy-Vee was the first company to name a Vice President of Retail Dietetics, and recently created a Group Vice President role overseeing health markets. The company has led the trend of health and wellness engagement at retail, and currently employs the highest number of retail dietitians.
Metropolitan Market (MM) is an upscale, seven-store grocery chain located in the greater Seattle‐Tacoma area known for its unique product selection and personal service. Each store has a full deli, an artisan bakery, a kiosk staffed with “culinary artists,” a full-service butcher, kitchen shops, an expansive offering of premium wines, fresh local and organic produce.
